This site started over 10 years ago and I hope you benefit from the 30 years or so of my knowledge. Having worked at BT for 20 years and since having built my own telecoms business for 7 years, I can guarantee you there is more than enough information you need for any research you are doing.

Type of Calls
The first question that needs to be asked is whether your business will only need to make national calls including mobiles and if international calls will also be called. This will determine what sort of call rates and packages you need to look for.
A large number of companies will offer competitive rates for both international and national calls, but spending money on something which offers cheap international calls youl never make is daft. The Frequency and amount of Calls The amount of and frequency of calls you are likely to make will also determine the type of business phone package you need.
Types of Buisness Phone Line
The traditional single line like you have at home are called analogue exchange lines. These days, the lines themselves are hardly used and the biggest use of these lines is to provide Broadband services.
These are known as digital lines and come in two sizes. SIDN2 and ISDN 30. ISDN 2 gives you two simultaneous calls. With ISDN 30. You can have up to 30 simultaneous calls. The minimum order for ISDN 30 is 8 lines or 8 channels.
